    If pure strength training builds more muscle then bodybuilders would just
    train for strength. .. they dont. in my opinion you should use both.

    In general, I agree. But honestly, guys on bodybuilding splits make far
    less gains in the beginning than guys on strength routines. And by
    beginning I mean reaching around 1rm 150kg bench, 180kg squat and 220kg
    deadlift. I know, bodybuilders do loads other exercises, but even on off
    season they do heavy lifts and train base for most.
    Nr1. Mistake guys do, they enter gym and begin with isolation’s.
