If you’re interested in building muscle or burning fat while training at home, with limited equipment or want an alternative to boring cardio, you’ll really like Mike Westerdal’s and Elliot Hulse’s Lean Hybrid Muscle workouts…

I’m incorporating some of their hybrid complexes into my current prep for the Fitness Atlantic Championships on April 16 a few ways…

1. A warm up before my weights.
2. A stand alone cardio

workout
3. A post weight training cardio workout to burn extra calories
4. While I’m traveling in substitution for early am cardio

Definitely , add their stuff to your fitness library.

    Vince DelMonte says:

@fitbodynews It depends how big you want to get… If you want mass like a
bodybuilder, you won’t do it with just bodyweight movements… although a
lot of females can. Guys do need to get into heavier resistance…
    eventually for impressive size.

    darkangeln5 says:

that was really great…its just that i am a girl im 21 and i am about
weight about 110 now and just wanted to know if these workouts would give
me lean muscle or bulky muscle? i mean is this specified for the men? cuz i
am 110 now but i still have a couple of inches of belly´╗┐ fat left and need
to get rid of t hem but am currently at a plateu with my current workout
program… so if i add these workouts in your 3 videos would this help me
get lean muslce and burn the last few inches of belly fat

    Vince DelMonte says:

    Vince DelMonte says:

@JJCarper It’s hard for me to say… are you getting results?

    crazyguitarist57 says:

Vince, will a circuit workout like this hinder my muscles’ ability to
perform during power-lifting? I’ve always put a strict 3 days of rest after
every time I work a muscle group. Would you recommend this as something I
could do every morning, and not hinder my heavy lifting in the evening? Or
should I do it before a couple days rest?

    Vince DelMonte says:

@pheeson With 35 lbs of fat to lose, yes, put ALL your efforts into fat
loss. Use weights to help you burn the fat but focus on more metabolic
style workouts… not ‘bodybuilding style body part” workouts that are
designed for growth. You need to get at least 25 lbs off first so anything
that makes you sweat, burn and cry is on the menu. Get your fitness level
up while you’re at it. Keeping your goals simplified is a key to results.

    John Dargan says:

    Awesome video, Vince! Thanks.

    lmpoar says:

Great videos, Vince. I would just like to ask, how heavy were those
dumbells you were using? I’m a 35 year old guy, approximately 14 lbs
overweight, who is looking to burn off the excess fat and develop a little
muscle tone. I’ve just ordered a pair or 4Kg dumbells. Would that be
appropriate as a start for me and upgrade as I progress? Keep up the good
    work, Vince. :)

    CRANKYONE100 says:

@VinceDelMonte Hey man.I’m a big fan of yours from Australia and am finding
your workout tips really helpful. I’m mainly concerned with loosing fat
around the belly and question is about doing cardio first thing in the
morning..With no food in stomach or best to eat something first to burn
fat?.I get a few differing opinions.

    pheeson says:

Hey vince, just a quick question. Do you think it’s a good idea to do body
building while trying to lose fat? or is it better to focus on losing the
fat first and then start focusing on body building. I’m currently 35 pounds
over weight. and i need to shave those off before September.

    macuser5555 says:

Great video Vin. Haven’t seen you do these types of workouts. Thanks much.
    Like the sneaks too.

    Vince DelMonte says:

@Deavastator Hey bud. When I was in my early 20’s I decided that I never
wanted to rely on a “job” so always knew I wanted to be self-employed and
follow my passion of helping others in the fitness industry. Over the last
5-years, my online fitness business has grown to the point where I can work
anywhere in the world – as long as I have my laptop, my wife and a gym near
by! I don’t say this to brag but to INSPIRE you to chase after your dreams.
There is only one way to live bro – LARGE!

Yo Vince, I’m going to be competing in the Fitness Atlantic, I hope I get

    inspiration.

    leasky32 says:

cool, would this work with resistance cords

    mhrockstar says:

Wait, so this is not considered your workout. It is your cardio (so to
speak) and only for losing fat. Do you think one could add muscle with this
if one was to add weight each workout or every other workout?

    mhrockstar says:

Oh and. Sorry. The first two sentences were meant to be questions. :)

    Joel Dominguez says:

    Nice Nose.

    ashuamaru3 says:

thanks vince, this is a great workout! I have been trying to get a six pack
for a few months now, and after doing your workouts i’ve been starting to
get definition in my abs but i still have fat especially around my stomach
area. How do i get rid of this fat because it seems much more easy to burn
the fat on the top of the six pack than the bottom and how do you make your
abs “pop” out? do i just need to burn the fat off?

    karimbo92 says:

    @bladeslash4 then bodyweight exercises :)

    swapnil0768 says:

    great info bro….thankxx alot

    Vince DelMonte says:

@ceazar21940 Look for an organization in your area. Pick a date and
register. Now you’re committed. For the fitness model shows they judge you
on masculine style, confidence, health, proportion and most of all… how
SHREDDED you are. For fitness model and muscle model… you need about as
much as I carry on my frame. Even a little less and you’ll do great. Good
    luck.

    Deavastator says:

Vince, why are you always in such nice places :p

    umbilicaltapeworm says:

you can achieve hypertrophy with isometrics through circuit training and
supersets. start with the most difficult exercise (for the target muscle
group) and immediately following the last rep jump down to something
slightly easier. there are many pushup and pullup variations you can use in
this way to keep your muscles and CNS guessing. I’ve put on more muscle at
home with just a few kettle-plates (plates with openings for hands) and the
odd heavy object than I ever did at a gym. be creative.

    jerm2222 says:

Awesome, thanks man! I have been looking for something to do just in my
apartment with some free weights so I can get used to working out again and
    get into shape.

    SwornWordsWornswords says:

    ceazar21940 says:

hey vince had a quick question how would i start getting into the all
natural fitness comps? is there a specific way to or do u just go apply to
any one and hope for the best lol I’ve been very serious about training for

these when its my time to start cutting

    menonfire12 says:

Hey, great! This are nice exercises :)

    dlancelot12 says:

Vince, always inspired by your videos. I would like to see you with a small
wireless microphone on the collar of your shirt so that your voice is even
throughout the video, and also a sort of camera setup that allows the
camera(man/woman) to keep the video smooth throughout the video. Keep up
    the good work mang! :)

    fitbodynews says:

Vince, Can someone really build any sizable muscle gains working out at
home without some serious weights to keep the progressive overload
principle going. Say all you have is a few doubles and not much. No
    Blowflex etc!

    ardi1230 says:

How many reps and sets should I be aiming for?
